COMMERCIAL: SuperBad Action Figures!

SuperBad Action Figures

UPDATE: The shoot has been postponed until January 2012.  Check back soon for updates.  We are still very excited about the project!

Warehouse 1904 has been given the great opportunity to produce a new commercial for SuperBad Action Figures in a collaboration with Sideshow Collectibles!  The shoot will take place in September at the SuperBad HQ in Redlands, CA.  The following Facebook invite has been posted on the official SuperBad Action Figures Facebook page:

Due to an overwhelming popular response to our last commercial we are now casting a much bigger commercial for SuperBad Action Figures. We are using a new production company this time around and are glad to be teaming up with WAREHOUSE 1904!  Check them out at www.warehouse1904.com. Also we will be working side by side with Sideshow Collectibles as they are sending their representatives to be present at the shoot on the 11th.

This is a copy and credit gig for all costume players attending. You will receive a copy of the commercial and get credits on the extended version and special features portion of the DVD. That’s right, YOUR NAME will appear on the credits!!! Also you have the possibility of being seen and cast/hired by Sideshow Collectibles for other corporate events or filming. This is a big deal so get involved while you still can.

We are extremely excited to be working with SuperBad Action Figures again, and we can’t wait to show you guys this hilarious commercial.  If you’re a Cosplayer and would like to opportunity to be in this commercial, please visit the official event for more information.

Special thanks to our friend and producer Brandon Hillock for putting this together!

INTERVIEW: 3D and Stereo Conversion!

Anaglyph Glasses

Mike Eisenberg of ScreenRant.com conducted an interview with Warehouse 1904 co-founder and stereo enthusiast Adam Hlavac about the rise of 3D and what he thinks the future has in store for us in the 3D world.  Here’s an except from the article:

It also never hurts to better understand what goes into these releases and who the people working on them are. You may be surprised at how much the technicians behind the scenes do to make 3D as immersive as possible.

Adam Hlavac is currently a stereoscopic depth artist working for Stereo D in Burbank, CA. Previously, he held the same position at Legend3D in San Diego, CA, working on such films as ShrekThe Green HornetTransformers: Dark of the Moon and most recently on the 3D conversion of Top Gun. As a stereo artist, Hlavac takes the native 2D footage that is captured on set and creates a stereo pair, or “both eyes” of a 3D image. This is done through various techniques along with the help of some high-end compositing and proprietary software. Every post-production studio has their own pipeline for how they go about doing conversion, but in the end it’s about creating 3D that is pleasant to watch and doesn’t distract you from the point of interest. Hlavac also recently produced his first feature film called Delta Zulu, which is currently in post-production and will be hitting the film festival circuit soon.
